The Grounds Committee monitors grounds maintenance and beautification and recommends improvements to the Board of Directors. The committee’s goal is to preserve, protect and improve all TCCSA common areas and green spaces. Specific responsibilities include:
Advising/educating the TCCSA Board of Directors and on-site manager about issues related to common areas, and the use of good maintenance practices;
Working with landscape companies on common area landscaping, tree care, and signage;
Providing a venue for community input on beautification of common areas, and to discuss issues and concerns related to common areas and green spaces;
Developing a Master Plan for common areas that can be used for both short- and long-term guidance for the health, maintenance and beautification of common areas and green spaces using non-toxic, sustainable techniques and products;
Promoting neighborhood volunteer participation in common area improvements;
Guiding and supporting Travis Country’s commitment to the use of native plants, trees, grasses, wildflowers, preservation of natural habitat to the greatest extent possible; and
Working with community volunteers in support of recycling, plant swaps, water quality, energy conservation, and other cutting-edge, sustainable and environmentally sensitive efforts.
